Box Office Representative
Job Type: Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, At-Will Employee
Location: The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater in Pleasant Grove, Utah
Estimated Start Date: Immediately
Reports to: Box Office Manager
Time Commitment: Variable hours up to 29 hours per week
Job Summary: As a Box Office Representative for the Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater, you’ll provide excellent customer and box office services to all patrons, artists, staff, donors, partners and visitors in a friendly and engaging manner as part of providing a high-quality theatrical experience and furnishing an excellent venue for artists.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and make outgoing calls when requested.
- Sell, reserve and reschedule tickets—for both individual and season tickets for the Mainstage and Youth seasons, Education Classes and Special Events.
- Answer questions about all theater information—tickets, shows, policies, education department, etc.
- Excellent and friendly customer service—be a patron advocate.
- Work together with other box office reps on assigned tasks.
- Complete required training.
- Use ticketing system (Tessitura), including ongoing education in Tessitura to improve patron experience both over the phone and in person.
- Prepare tickets and door reports for performances.
- Assist Front of House with customer service needs.
- Daily data management and reporting in Tessitura as requested— this includes customer service issues, patron accessibility needs, patron information including address and duplicate correction, comps, show information, etc.
- Receive shipments and handle the mail daily.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, and other cleaning and maintenance tasks as requested.
- Maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance.
- Help whenever asked with multiple tasks.
Schedule:

Flexible scheduling with weekday evenings and Saturday shifts, including mornings and afternoons.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Passion for theater.
- High school diploma and some college.
- Cheerful and friendly with a highly personable and customer service-oriented approach.
- Effective telephone, computer and organizational skills.
- Collaboration, time management, problem solving and multi-tasking.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: $13.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed (Employees are expected to work at least one Saturday each month as part of their regular schedule)
