The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater Academy is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming youth stage production of The Phantom of the Opera.

Broadway's longest running musical, The Phantom of the Opera is a timeless musical masterpiece that intertwines mystery, romance, and tragedy. Set against the opulent backdrop of the Paris Opera House, it tells the haunting story of a mysterious, masked figure whose unyielding passion for the gifted Christine Daaé ignites a captivating tale of love and obsession.

Initial auditions will be conducted exclusively via video submission and are open to youth ages 12–19. All participants must be under 20 years old as of July 26, 2025. If cast, a tuition fee of $300 plus a costume fee of $50 will apply. There is no charge for auditions or callbacks.

Amanda is a professional actor, dancer, singer, and vocal instructor.  She is proficient in all styles of singing and teaching mix/belt, classical/legit, pop/rock, jazz, country. Amanda earned a BFA in Music Dance Theater from BYU. Amanda has over 25 years of performing experience. She toured nationally and internationally with BYU Young Ambassadors from 2012-2014. She worked as a professional dancer at Disneyland and Legoland Resort. Amanda has worked at theaters across Utah including Sundance, Hale Orem, Hale Sandy, Hale West Valley, and West Valley Performing Arts. She was the Associate Artistic Director for two years at One Voice Children’s Choir. Amanda is continuing her education for vocal instructors while currently being certified in Maddie Tarbox’s (MFA) Voice Function 101 course that focuses on evidence-based training. She strives to create an environment in which students can feel safe to be brave and to push themselves to grow as artists and people. She feels passionate about helping hone the talents of the emerging artists of the next generation and discover confidence in themselves.

We are all feeling ready for summer, so we are very excited to announce that registeration for our 2025 summer camps is now OPEN!

Staging a production as grand and demanding as this one was no small feat, and it would not have been possible without the hard work and skill of our outstanding cast and production team.

We've got a little surprise... as of this week, all students at The Ruth Academy are eligable for student rush tickets (half-off price) for our mainstage productions! Student rush tickets can be aquired only in person or over the phone, and must be scheduled no more than one week in advance.
