Adult Acting Lab
The Acting lab is a perfect opportunity for you to brush up your audition skills, deepen your understanding of acting, or work on a speciality skill. This four week class changes focus every month, and features a rotating roster of teachers who are also practitioners in the theater community. Some of our past courses have included Improvisation, Shakespeare, Acting for Film, Speech and Dialects, Clown, Acting Basics, and Auditioning.

In this course, you'll explore the basic ideas behind improvisation. You'll learn to follow your instincts, the art of active listening, and craft a compelling story. This class will help you get ready for auditions, read scripts on the spot, make choices while rehearsing, and unlock your creativity. If you want to prepare for auditions, dive into comedy, and strengthen your storytelling, this is the perfect class for you!

Learn how to be a boss at accents for the stage! We’ll start by discussing what makes great dialect work and the best ways to learn new accents. Then we’ll dive into learning and practicing multiple accents, all handpicked to help you prepare for your 2025 auditions at The Ruth.

Musical Theatre Dance for Adults
Ready to shine on stage? Whether you're new to dance or looking to sharpen your skills, this class is your gateway to becoming a confident, well-rounded musical theatre performer. We’ll focus on building strong technique, increasing body awareness, and exploring high-energy dance styles from Broadway hits, Disney classics, and cruise ship shows.
You’ll learn choreography in a supportive, fun environment while gaining the tools you need to feel at ease during auditions. We’ll also review key dance terminology to help you pick up choreography faster and with confidence. No matter your experience level, this class is designed to meet you where you are and help you grow.
Whether you’re aiming for roles in community theatre or working toward a professional career, this class will give you the skills—and the spark—to take the stage.

Adult Vocal Masterclass
Step into the spotlight and discover the joy of singing in this dynamic group class designed for both new and experienced performers! You’ll build a solid foundation in vocal technique while learning how to choose and sing solo parts that best suit your unique voice.
Through engaging exercises and songs from beloved musical theatre shows, students will explore pitch, breath support, tone, and expression. We’ll also focus on storytelling through song—connecting emotion to the music to create powerful performances. You'll gain confidence and develop your craft as both a singer and a storyteller.
Whether you’ve never sung outside the shower or you’re preparing for auditions, this class will help you grow your voice, your confidence, and your stage presence. Come sing your heart out and let your voice be heard!

Adult Stage Combat
Unlock the art of storytelling through movement in this fundamentals-focused stage combat class designed specifically for adult performers. Whether you're working in musical theatre, drama, comedy, or classical works, stage combat is an essential skill that brings scenes to life with intensity and believability.
In this class, you'll build a strong foundation in stage combat techniques including stance, balance, footwork, stamina, and timing. You’ll explore both unarmed and armed combat (such as swordplay) while learning how to perform safely and convincingly with a partner. Each technique will be rooted in storytelling—focusing on character, motivation, and emotion to enhance every scene.
Through practical scene work and structured exercises, you’ll gain the confidence, control, and stage presence needed to deliver dynamic performances that captivate audiences. Come strengthen your skills, elevate your craft, and discover the power of storytelling through movement.
COST: $100/Month, $100 materials fee
