Youth Musical Theater Classes Fall 2025
Little Stars
Young performers will have the opportunity to dance, sing, act, and create art in this interactive class focused on self-expression. Through music, movement, and art, students will explore ways to express themselves, build friendships, and collaborate as a group. The class includes two opportunities for participants to showcase what they have learned.
COST: $70/month

Musical Theater Showcase: Intro
Spark your child’s imagination and confidence through our engaging musical theater class designed especially for 1st–3rd graders. Young performers will dive into storytelling, singing, dancing, and character creation in a fun and supportive environment. Along the way, they’ll build key performance skills, develop empathy, and grow their self-confidence—all while having a blast! Families are invited to celebrate their progress at two performances throughout the year, where students proudly showcase what they’ve learned.
COST: $80/month, $150 Production Fee

Musical Theater Showcase: Elementary
For students in 4th–6th grade, this weekly class offers a dynamic journey through the core elements of musical theater. Participants will explore acting, singing, dancing, and character development with a deeper focus on performance and technique. With growing confidence and creativity, students will also gain skills in script analysis and stage presence that serve them both on and off the stage. Families won’t want to miss the two exciting performances: a musical revue in November and a spring showcase in May.
COST: $80/month, $150 Production Fee

Musical Theater Showcase: Jr. High/High School
This course is perfect for students ready to deepen their training and take their skills to the next level. Our middle school performers receive focused instruction in acting, vocal technique, choreography, and the art of storytelling through musical theater. With greater emphasis on character work and script analysis, students gain valuable tools for both artistic growth and personal development. Parents and friends will be amazed by the growth on display during our two annual productions—a vibrant fall musical revue and an inspiring end-of-year showcase.
COST: $80/month, $150 Production Fee

Musical Dance Theater Company
Step into the spotlight with our brand-new year of MDT Company at The Ruth Academy! Open to students ages 12–18, this audition-based program offers passionate performers the chance to dive deep into acting, singing, dancing, character development, and even production design—taught by some of the top theater professionals in the state. Classes meet twice a week and culminate in fully staged productions at the stunning new Ruth Theater. This is an incredible opportunity for students to refine their craft, grow as artists, and shine on a professional-quality stage.
Auditions are open to the public and expected to be highly competitive, with casting based not just on talent, but also commitment and availability. Selected students will receive a detailed schedule after registration, including occasional Friday or Saturday rehearsals.
Full participation is key to the magic! Because students are working together to create high-level performances, attendance at all tech rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances is essential. We’re building something truly special, and every student plays an important role in bringing it to life.
