Additional Class Times
Please note that in addition to regular class times, there will be some Friday and/or Saturday rehearsals. You’ll also receive a schedule for your specific class once you are registered. Attendance at tech and dress rehearsals and all performances is mandatory in order for your child to participate in the class.
Audition- Based Process
MDT Companies are a brand new offering for The Ruth Academy, and are expected to be in high demand. Students are selected following an audition process that looks at their performing abilities, yes, but also considers other factors such as availability and commitment to the program. These classes will be audition-based, meaning that not everyone who auditions will be cast. Auditions for these classes are open to the general public, not just current Academy students. Casting decisions are at the sole discretion of each production team, and there’s no guarantee of being cast in any specific semester. We expect there to be a great turnout for these auditions, and it’s impossible to foresee what casting will look like. If it doesn’t work for you to join us in this class, we encourage you to join us for one of our other fantastic musical theater classes.
